Blended Learning using Blendspace

In this post, I would like to share a little bit about blended learning activities using Blendspace. 
Okay, let's check it out!

I have made one blended learning activity (you can check it below). I choose the Christmas Day as the topic of my blended learning activity. Why I choose that topic? Because almost every one in the world celebrating Christmas Day, they always share some gifts and share their happiness to each other. 
Then, what's the goal of the activity? All of this activity to help students understand the celebration of Christmas Day itself. The history, the traditions, and many more that related with Christmas Day, as well as they will understand how to use the Past Perfect form in the correct ways. 

The learners are specifically for junior high school students on 8th grade. However, this lesson also for all ages. Maybe they want to know deeper about the history of Christmas, and what are the traditions. 

Things what students or learners have to do in my Blendspace Learning Activity are:
1. Reading an article of the history of Christmas Day.
2. Reading an article of the history of Christmas Celebration on 25th December
3. Listening to a video about the Christmas traditions that held in some countries.
4. Reading an article of the kinds of Christmas traditions.
5. Listening to a video about Christmas song.
6. Doing an exercise based on all of the explanation.
7. Reading an article of the Past Perfect form.
8. Listening to a video about how to use Past Perfect form correctly.
9. Doing an exercise about Past Perfect.

The students should spend on the activities from number 1 up to 6 in the class lesson for 2 lesson hours. And, for the rest, the activity from number 7 up to 9 can be done after class. However, it should be submitted on the next meeting.

For applying this media for my teaching learning activities, I will use it later when I teach in some school. And, what I like from this program is the concept of this program itself. Blendspace allows teachers to attach videos or articles from many resources for their students. It can save more energy for teacher while they are explaining materials in the class. This technique will be really helpful for teachers who want to try something new of representing their materials. So that, the students won't be bored in class.

But, there are things that need to be improved from this program. Especially in the searching process (either in the article or videos). It shows different order of results in this program. I think that's should need to be improved from this program.
