Adobe Spark for Digital Story Telling

Hi, everyone..!

Back with me again in this blog.. In this post, I would like to share some tips how to create AdobeSpark for digital story telling for your students..

The first is, I want to discuss the definition of digital story telling itself. So, digital story telling is a short form of digital media production that allows everyday people to share aspects of their story. The media used may include digital equivalent of film techniques (full-motion video with sound), audio only, or any of the other forms of non-physical media which individuals can use to share their stories.

Then, what is AdobeSpark? AdobeSpark is an integrated suite of storytelling applications for the iPad, iPhone, and web developed by Adobe Systems. It comprises three separate design apps: Spark Page, Spark Post, and Spark Video. Its apps became the company's first to be named by Apple as an App Store Best App of The Year, and have been downloaded 3,5 million times.

Some of you wonder how to make AdobeSpark for their storytelling medias for their students. So, here are the steps that you can follow:
1. Open your Internet applications (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
2. Open www.google.com (or simply open https://spark.adobe.com/)
3. Choose "login".
4. Choose "continue with Google Account".
5. Choose your Google Account that you use for your AdobeSpark acoount.
6. Enter your password.
7. Input your day, date, and year of birth.
8. Then, tick the box "I have read and agreed with the Terms and Conditions..."
9. Choose "OK".
10. Choose "video".
11. Type your title for the video.
12. Choose your purpose to making this video (promoting an idea, tell what happened, etc.) or you can simply choose "start from scratch".
13. Choose to play the tutorial video.
14. Then, create your own video.
15. After you have done making the video, you can preview or share it with your friends.

The benefits of using this program is that the tutorial video is really easy to understand. There are so many tools that we can use to make our own video. We can include our photos, videos, icons, and you can choose your own music as your back sound.

The weaknesses of using this program is that this program is quite big program. It needs "patient" when we run this program. The second is each slide can load for 30 seconds length for a video. Then, the last is that each slide can records 30 seconds audio (our own narrative).

Honestly, I am not sure if I use this program for my teaching media for my students. Why? Because this program cannot be used in all grades. Maybe this application can be applied in junior high school students.

That's all of my explanations about AdobeSpark program. Here are the examples of my own videos that I created from AdobeSpark program. Check this out..!

*It'll be better if you use your headphones.
